Afterlife by Switchfoot

Switchfoot - Afterlife
From the album Vice Verses

I've tasted fire, I'm ready to come alive
I can't just shut it up and fake that I'm alright
I'm ready now
I'm not waiting for the afterlife

I'll let it burn the way the sunlight burns my skin
The way I feel inside, the way the day begins

I'm ready now
I'm not waiting for the other side
I'm ready now, I'm ready now

(Chorus)
‘Cause everyday
The world is made
A chance to change
But I feel the same
And I wonder why
Would I wait ‘till I die to come alive?
I'm ready now
I'm not waiting for the afterlife

I still believe we can live forever
You and I we begin forever now
Forever now, forever

I still believe in us together
You and I we're here together now
Forever now, forever now
Or never now

Chorus (X2)

Everyday
A choice is made
Everyday
I choose my fate
And I wonder why
Would I wait till I die
To come alive?
To come alive

Everyday, everyday, everyday, I still feel the same
And I wonder why
Would I wait ‘till I die
To come alive?
I'm ready now
I'm not waiting for the afterlife
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now, I'm ready
I'm ready now
I'm not waiting for the afterlife

Poem inspired by a great friend

The fire in the hearth

The fire of life in the hearth
I'll keep praying that it will never die
I'll keep throwing woods of love
I just wish to keep your soul aglow.

The flames will continue going
With its picturesque shapes
The way you inspire others
To learn from a friend.

The warmth of inspiration
Spreading all over our minds
Your love a flammable substance
that is easy to ignite.

Even from afar or beyond
Your flames will always keep us warm.

Harvest Crusade 2012

Here is Mercyme at the Harvest Crusade 2012 at the Angel stadium which I attended it. They are singing one of my favorite song by them. Underneath the official music video.

"The Hurt & The Healer"

Why?
The question that is never far away
The healing doesn’t come from the explained
Jesus please don’t let this go in vain
You’re all I have
All that remains

So here I am
What’s left of me
Where glory meets my suffering

I’m alive
Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
I’ve fallen into Your arms open wide
When the hurt and the healer collide

Breathe
Sometimes I feel it’s all that I can do
Pain so deep that I can hardly move
Just keep my eyes completely fixed on You
Lord take hold and pull me through

So here I am
What’s left of me
Where glory meets my suffering

I’m alive
Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
I’ve fallen into your arms open wide
When the hurt and the healer collide

It’s the moment when humanity
Is overcome by majesty
When grace is ushered in for good
And all our scars are understood
When mercy takes its rightful place
And all these questions fade away
When out of the weakness we must bow
And hear You say “It’s over now”

I’m alive
Even though a part of me has died
You take my heart and breathe it back to life
I’ve fallen into your arms open wide
When The hurt and the healer collide

Jesus come and break my fear
Awake my heart and take my tears
Find Your glory even here
When the hurt and the healer collide [x2]

Jesus come and break my fear
Awake my heart and take my tears
Find Your glory even here

Me and Keiko Matsui

Me and Keiko Matsui at Bird Land west in Long Beach.

We need to unwind once in a while

The immensity of life within me
Sustain heavily by burdens of life
Encumbrances draining my well being
Deprived of rest I must keep going.

My Will to thrust life forward
Draws me to God’s creations
Creations of peace and beauty.
Water rippling by my feet with gentle lapping sounds
Arms expanded catching breezes of freedom
Thanking the Lord as I unwind
My visage of gratitude tells it all…
As I rejuvenate ready to face life again.

Luciano Pavarotti

What can I say, I love opera.

Una furtiva lagrima

A single furtive tear
from her eyes sprang:
As if of those playful youths
envious she appeared to become.
What more need I look for?
What more need I look for?
She loves me! Yes, she loves me, I see it. I see it.
Just for an instant the beating of
her beautiful heart I felt!
And my sighs became as one
fleetingly with her sighs!
Her heart beating, her heart beating to feel,
our sighs confounded as one...
Heavens! Yes I could, I could die!
More I can't ask, I can't ask.
Oh, heavens! Yes I could! Yes I could die!
More I can't ask, I can't ask.
Yes I could die! If I could die of love.

Andrea Bocelli

I have this DVD and I can never get enough of it. One of my very favorite tenor.

Caruso

This is a song I've learned at the Piano. They say Caruso love his little girl more than life itself.

Caruso

Here, where the sea shines and the wind blows
on an old terrace on the Sorrent gulf
a man hugs a girl, after she had cried
then he clears his voice and begins again to sing.
I love you very much
very very much, you know
it's become a chain
that melts the blood inside the veins, you know
He saw the lights in the middle of the sea and thought about the nights there, in America
but they were just the boats (with lights, used to fish during the night) and the white trail of a propeller
He felt pain in the music and got up from the piano
but when he saw the moon coming out from behind a cloud
even death seemed sweet to him
he looked in the eyes of the girl, those eyes green as the sea
then suddenly a tear slipped out and he thought he was going to drown.
I love you very much
very very much, you know
it's become a chain
the melts the blood inside the veins, you know
Power of lyric, where every drama is fake
and with a bit of make-up and mimic you can become another person
but two eyes, so close and so truthful, looking at you
make you forget the words and confuse your thoughts
so everything becomes small, even the nights there, in America
you turn around and you see your life as a propeller's trail
Yeah, it's life that ends, but he didn't think too much about it
on the opposite, he felt (already) happy and began again to sing
I love you very much
very very much, you know
it's become a chain
that melts the blood inside the veins, you know
